As we approach the completion of the subject 1,000,000 square foot distribution center in Edwardsville, IL. I would like to thank and compliment you on behalf of Hershey Foods Corporation for the engineering support and onsite monitoring, testing, and reporting performed by your company that has been a big part of making this project a success.
Starting with our Request for a Proposal for a detailed Geotechnical Study in March 2003 and follow up soils design issues to support our May 2003 start date, your service and advice has been technically excellent, complete and timely in support of our aggressive construction schedule. Without question, you and your field personnel have supported our needs and made sure our interests were addressed and satisfied.
Hershey Foods Corporation insists work be performed and verified to high standards, starting the first day of construction, while still maintaining schedule and budget. In today's fast-track world, once the decision to proceed with a project is made, this requires a knowledgeable construction and engineering team be pulled together quickly to settle design issues as well as establishing an inspection program to control quality. Quality Testing and Engineering was a key player in the soils, concrete and paving design as well as site monitoring, testing, and reporting for these areas and site monitoring and reporting for structural steel.
